The Department of Posts, Government of India and Wall Street
Exchange Centre LLC, a subsidiary of the UAE Post Group have signed agreement
for electronic money transfer on the International Financial System (IFS)
platform of the Universal Postal Union (UPU). Giving this information in written
reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha today, Shri Kapil Sibal, Minister of
Communications and Information Technology, said that the beneficiary can take
payment at any of the designated 17, 500 post offices in the country on eMO
network.
