B. Ramachandra Adityan was a managing editor of Malai Murasu, popular Tamil evening newspaper. He was the eldest son of Daily Thanthi founder Si. Balasubramania Adityan. He was also instrumental in launching weeklies and magazines such as Devi, Kanmani and Penmani and Tamil daily Kathiravan. Mr. Adityan played a vital role in rescuing Tamilnad Mercantile Bank after the bank went out of the control of Nadar community to the Essar group in 1990s. The Nadar communities were the original promoters of TMB. He passed away on 16th October 2013 due to prolonged illness.
A special cover was released in memory of B. Ramachandra Adityan at Kayamozhi in Tuticorin district by J. Charukesi, Post Master General, South Zone, Madurai and was received by Mr. R. Sarath Kumar, Tenkasi MLA on 28th June 2015.
