RTI Reply about sanction strength of IP/ASP of Haryana and Assam Circle

Remaining Circles, Circle Secretaries and CHQ Office Bearers are requested to ensure submission of their Circles information on the same line to GS immediately. This information is required for preparation of cadre restructuring proposal. It is also requested to IPs/ASPs working in CO to meet the concerned officer and request him/her for supply of information at once.

Vacancy postion of Direct Recruit Inspector Posts (IPs).

Everybody is well aware that there is acute shortage of IPs in most of the Circles. The shortage is arrived due to non providing of sufficient number of Director Recruit candidates (through SSC) by Directorate. Our few colleagues are holding additional charge of Sub Divisions since years together. It is learnt from Directorate that few candidates have already been provided in 2012 to some circles, but their posting orders are not issued by respective circles. Further, in few circles direct recruit quota is said to be lying unfiled since years together. The details of vacancies reported to SSC by Directorate since 2005 are as under:

It is also learnt from Directorate that, besides these vacancies DoPT has nominated 56 surplus Central Govt. Employees (i.e. Inspectors) to our Department in the year 2010 and 2011. In the year 2012, only one surplus Inspector of other Department nominated to our department.  

Directorate is not having data about the joining of Direct Recruit IPs at Circles or rejecting the posting etc. They are simply forwarding the dossiers of the candidates (selected IPs) to the respective circles for issuing posting orders etc. Hence there is need to ascertain the actual number of vacancies of IPs in each Circle (Direct Recruit quota only).

CHQ has already requested to all Circle Secretaries on 26/9/2013 to ascertain and intimate the vacancy position of Direct Recruit IPs (yearwise) of their circles to GS, but till date information is not received.
 

Sanction strength of Inspector Posts and Assistant Superintendents Posts in DOP

Directorate vide memo No. 7-14/2009-SPB-II dated 6th March 2013 has intimate the sanction strength of Inspector Posts as 2187 and vide memo No. 4-14/2009-SPB-II dated 6th March 2013 has intimated the sanction strength of Assistant Superintendents Posts as 1824.

All the Circle Secretaries are requested to confirm the sanction strength to General Secretary on his email ID before 20/9/2013.
