Special Cover on BAPASI Chennai Book Fair – 1st June 2016.

BAPASI (Booksellers and Publishers Association of South India) is organizing the Chennai Book Fair every year since 1976. So far 38 editions of the Chennai Book Fair have been successfully organised by BAPASI. 39th edition of the book fair is organised at Island Grounds, Park Town, Chennai from 1st to 13th June 2016. There are more than 800 book stalls in this huge ground and more than 5 Lakh books have been displayed at the book fair.

South India Philatelists' Association (SIPA) has also put up a stall at the Chennai Book Fair (Stall no. 396) for the promotion of philately and to create awareness about philately among students and general public. A Handbook on ‘Stamp Collecting for Beginners’ was released by SIPA on 1st June at the Chennai Book Fair. A Special Cover was also released on BAPASI, Chennai Book Fair on 1st June 2016 by Mr. Mervin Alexander, Postmaster General, Chennai City Region (Special Cover approval no. TN/18/20160).
