Bikaner is blessed to have many generous entrepreneurs and social transformers. The Nahata family of Bikaner is known for generosity and human values. Shri Shankardan Nahata (b. 1874 - d. 1942) was multi-talented orator, diligent entrepreneur, philanthropist and social leader. He was one of the architects of Sri Jain Pathshala Sabha, which was started in 1907.

A Special Cover on Seth Shri Shankardan Nahata was released jointly by Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, M.P., Shri Giriraj Meena, I. G. Police and Shri S. S. Shekhawat, Superintendent of Post Offices at a function held at Bikaner on 28th June 2016.
