8% Dearness Allowance due from January 2013
It is expected that the additional dearness allowance from JANUARY 2013 for Central Government Employees and Pensioners will enhance by 8% and total DA from January 2013 will raise to 80%.
The inflation is so high lead to utilized limited resources from the wide range of available resources. The DA should be merged. All allowance to govt employees should also be exempted from taxes
If not all allowances, at least traveling allowance should have been exempted (as against exempting only Rs.800) in recent budget??? Let's examine a case where an employee getting Rs.5000 as traveling allowance. Considering 30% tax bracket and 3% education cess, tax of Rs. 1650 is deducated straightaway. In addition, of the balance Rs.3350 if you go to fill the petrol, considering Rs.75 per litre and 50% state + central taxes, finally what one gets is the value of Rs. 1675. I am not sure if this is very meaningful to provide Rs.5000 as TA and then what one gets is the product whose real value is only Rs.1675. I think someone needs to think about this in a more meaningful and constructive way to explain?????
According to market price rise, the additional DA must be more than 10%.
